Sacraments
The Seven Sacraments are sacred signs instituted by Christ to give grace and strengthen us throughout every stage of life and faith. In the Roman Catholic tradition, the sacraments are encounters with God’s presence through the life of the Church.
Baptism, Confirmation, and the Holy Eucharist form the Sacraments of Initiation, welcoming believers into the Catholic faith and nourishing spiritual life. Reconciliation and Anointing of the Sick are Sacraments of Healing, offering God’s mercy, forgiveness, comfort, and peace. Holy Orders and Matrimony are Sacraments of Service, calling individuals to serve God and others through ordained ministry or married life. Together, the seven sacraments guide, sustain, and deepen our relationship with Christ and His Church.

Marriage
Holy Family welcomes those preparing for the Sacrament of Matrimony. When you choose to get married in the Roman Catholic Church, you are asking for more than a ceremony, a church building, and a musician. This is a momentous promise and commitment. You will make a vow before God, family, friends, and your future spouse to stay married for the rest of your life.
In an effort to help you prepare for that commitment, the Roman Catholic Church requires that you participate in a marriage preparation process to explore personal values, your commitment to the Faith, and your relationship with your future spouse.
Catholics seeking the celebration of marriage should be registered in the parish here at Holy Family or where they currently live. The active practice of your faith is presumed.
At the time of formal engagement, and at least 6-months prior to the anticipated wedding date, contact:

Anointing of the Sick
The Roman Catholic Church believes and confesses that among the seven Sacraments there is one specially intended to strengthen those who are being tried by illness, the Anointing of the Sick. The sacrament is not for those only who are at the point of death, but for those who suffer not only physical illness but emotional, psychological and spiritual afflictions as well.
This Sacrament is administered upon request.

Holy Orders
Men who feel that God may be calling them to the priesthood or to the diaconate often find this sense of "calling" something that grows or will not go away. Sometimes one or more others will ask, "Have you ever considered becoming a priest or deacon?" If you are experiencing these thoughts or intuitions, or perhaps are just curious, Fr. Jerry can assist you in exploring a potential calling more deeply.
While not a Sacrament, women and men may also feel God's call in the form of vowed life, as a religious sister or brother. These men and women, too, feel that call which sometimes arises very clearly while other times is vague or mysterious. Careful discernment with others is always a necessary step in these matters.
