Everyday Evangelization Part 8

Dear Holy Family,

For the past few months, I’ve used this column to share information on what evangelization within our Catholic faith is really all about, and to encourage a deeper commitment to realize our obligation as Catholics to spread the Good News.  Perhaps you’ve gained inspiration from one or more of the evangelists I’ve drawn from, whether that’s Matthew Kelly and his Holy Moments book, or from Pope Francis, Pope Benedict, Archbishop Fulton Sheen, or Bishop Barron.  Or perhaps you attended Fr. Jerry’s recent “Evening of Conversation” and are feeling compelled to bring others back to the Church.  But how do you actually do that?  What action can you now take to share our Lord’s Good News?

Our Diocese of Superior Charismatic Renewal Service Committee has come along at the perfect time to help!  On Saturday, April 22, the committee is sponsoring a program of “Building a Culture of Evangelization with Prayer and Action” at Our Lady of Sorrows in Ladysmith.  Here’s the teaser:

Are we cooperating with grace to build truly attractive spiritual communities? How will people be drawn to the joy of the Gospel that they see within us? How do we act with faithfulness and gentleness in the opportunities God grants us each day?  Join us as Joshua Danis, author of Fruits of the Spirit and Catholic Director of Alpha, leads a conversation about how each of us might become more fully activated to help build a culture of evangelization right where we are.

Schedule: Check in at 9:30am; program runs 10:00am to 3:00pm.  Bring your own lunch; free will offering will be requested.  Registration: Register via email to maryjoansutton@gmail.com or call/text 715-441-9699.

In the peace of the risen Christ,

Bob
